Throughout the development process for the TMG firewall, I was surprised that there wasn’t a Microsoft Web site for the TMG. It seemed to me that if I needed to find information about TMG, I had to go to the ISA Web site on microsoft.com.

Well now I have some good news! There is a TMG Web site on the microsoft.com site over at:

www.microsoft.com/tmg

However, if you go there, don’t expect to find anything near what we used to have with the ISA firewall during it’s previous releases. There aren’t any white papers, reviewer’s guides, deployment guides, instructional videos, Web casts, or even a detailed description of the product and why it’s better than the ISA firewall.

Let’s hope that this improves over time – but it feels like the poor TMG firewall has become a victim or neglect.
