CeBIT: SurfControl web filter with new hardware
SurfControl (hall 7, stand A13) intends to present its extended product range at CeBIT, which starts tomorrow (Thursday) in Hanover, Germany. As well as software solutions and TÜV certified on-demand services, they will also be exhibiting their RiskFilter e-mail security appliance and a new web filter appliance.
The new product apparently brings together the SurfControl web filter and the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server in one specially adapted piece of hardware. The solution can also be seen on the Microsoft Forefront Security stand in hall 7, stand A38.

Now that Websense has acquired Surf Control, it will be interesting to see how the two technologies play together. Given the brain trust in both companies, I believe we will see some really exciting possibilities in filtering.
