SurfControl and Network Engines Join Forces to Offer Next Generation of Co-Branded Security Appliances for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — (MARKET WIRE) — July 11, 2006 — SurfControl (LSE: SRF), the global leader in Internet protection, and Network Engines, Inc. (NASDAQ: NENG), a leading appliance partner for Microsoft security solutions, today announced that they are teaming up to offer a new line of seamlessly integrated secure appliances, optimized for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server.

SurfControl and Network Engines co-branded appliances will be available later this year and will support Microsoft ISA Server 2006.
