Any american software for europeans is bad from any point of view. That might explain those questions your posed ;)
MS DOES NOT USE UNIX for email, I may assure. &quot;reading the arguments shown to you in the address bar of internet explorer&quot; does not assure mail is unix based, that phrase is pure assumption (and a bad one)
You can not forget also how much IT managers receive as 'gifts' from vendors, by aproving large buyings of hardware. They just have to get a fake reason to impress higher exec board (which are non-technical)
Finally,

That's an OK article, but there are MANY flaws in his recommendations and I would not take all of them at face value. I'll blog about the errors in that article later.
