EMC Halts the Sale of RainWall and RainConnect

From EMC:

“This letter is to inform you that after careful consideration, EMC has decided to halt the sale of RainWall and RainConnect, the high availability solution for Microsoft ISA Server and CheckPoint firewalls.

EMC customers and partners of the Rainfinity Global File Virtualization (GFV), formerly known as RainStorage, are not impacted by this announcement. Rainfinity GFV customers will continue to receive engineering and technical support for one of EMCs most successful and strategic new products.  For any Rainfinity GFV questions, please contact an EMC Sales Representative. “

Could this indicate a possible MS acquisition of Rainfinity?

Hope the product still continues to be sold, as it will be a shame to see it go…

It looks like they’re halting the sale of the product, from the message they sent.

Are there any alternative products/solutions ?

    Hi Paul,
Right now there are no alternatives from a software solution. You’ll have to look at something like the Xincom device to get similar features.

How can i use xincom device if i have 2 adsl with one static ip each one?

    Hi Robert,
    Why wouldn’t that work?

Tom, I mean if the xincom device has the 2 public ip I have a double nat. Because the isa would have a internal ip of the “DMZ” and other internal of the lan. is that correct?
An what about vpn with l2tp/ipsec, works fine? (if the vpn server is the isa)
    and performance?

    Thanks!
